Receiving precepts from Hue Hung precept altar of the Hoang Phap Pagoda’s monks

After four-day taking place at the Hue Hung precept altar was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in HCMC, the monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda have being received precepts of this altar entering the closing ceremony in the afternoon of Oct. 15 th, 2020 (on Aug. 29th, year of mouse), Buddhist calendar 2564.
The altar of precepts is an important and sacred event in the activity of Buddhism. This is the Sangha's special event being organized to transfer precepts to ordination people with many very strict rules in the canon of Vinaya.
To a leaving-home person, after a period of beginner training and guided demeanor of monastic rules, studying the essential contents of Sutra, Vinaya and Pitaka of comment, their master has approved and permitted this one to receive precepts at the precept altars.
The great precepts' altar this year took place from 12th to 15th, Oct. 2020 (lunar on Aug. 25th to 28th), was held at Vietnam Quoc Tu Pagoda in HCM City. There are 772 eligible receivers of ordination at the precept altars, as following:
Vietnam Quoc Tu pagoda transferred for Bhikkhu and the novices being male (Mahayana Buddhism);
Thanh Tam pagoda transferred for Bhikkhuni and the female ordination neophyte (Mahayana Buddhism);
Buu Quang pagoda transferred for Bhikkhu and the novices being male (Theravada Buddhism);
Tinh Xa Trung Tam pagoda transferred for Bhikkhu and the novices being male (the Mendicant sect);
Ngoc Phuong pagoda transferred for Bhikkhuni and the female ordination neophyte, the novices being female (the Mendicant sect).
Having the examination process at the pagoda and with the permission of the Monks at Hoang Phap pagoda, 8 Bhikkhu and 2 male novices who registered to receive these precepts at Hue Hung precept altar.
