Receiving precepts from the Dieu Tam precept altar of the monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda

After five-day taking place at the Dieu Tam precept Altar was organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province, the monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda have being received precepts of this platform entering the closing ceremony in the morning of Nov. 16 th, 2019 (on Oct. 20, the year of the pig), Buddhist calendar 2563.

The altar of precepts is an important and sacred event in the activity of Buddhism. This is the Sangha's especial event being organized to transfer precepts to ordination people with many very strict rules in the canon of Vinaya.

It is known the great precepts' altar this year takes place from 12th to 16th Nov. 2019 (lunar on Oct. 16th to 20th), was held at the School of precepts of Tinh Hoi Pagoda in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai. There are 2,863 eligible receivers for ordination. Including is 546 receivers of precept being Bhikkhu, 489 receivers of precept being male novices, 616 receivers of precept being Bhikkhuni, 645 receivers of precept being female ordination neophyte, 567 receivers of precept being female novices and over 1,000 Buddhists who received Bodhisattva precepts and  ten precepts. This is also an opportunity for every Buddhist everywhere to come for offering, actively take care of the precept receivers and support the great altar of precept.

Having the examination process at the pagoda and with the permission of the Monks at Hoang Phap pagoda, 10 monks and male novices who registered to receive this precepts at Dieu Tam precept altar.
