Receiving precepts from Thien Hoa precept's Altar of the Hoang Phap Pagoda’s monks

After five-day taking place at the Thien Hoa precept altar was organized by Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province, monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda have being received precepts, beginning the closing Ceremony on the morning April 20th, 2022 (March 20th, LC) Buddhist calendar 2565.

The altar of precepts is an important and sacred event in the activity of Buddhism. This is the Sangha's special event being organized to transfer precepts to ordination people with many strict canons of Vinaya.

This year's precepts' altar will take place  from April 16 - 20, 2022 (March 16 - 20 LC), and will be held at Thuong Chieu Monastery for monks and Linh Chieu Monastery for nuns (Long Thanh, Dong Nai). The number of precept receivers who are considered and qualified for ordination is 3,329. In which, there are 2,999 precepts who are ordained; the rest are hearing precepts, and over 3,000 Buddhists have registered for taking refuge in the Three Jewels, taking the bodhisattva precepts and taking ten good deeds. This is an opportunity for Buddhists everywhere to come and make offerings, actively take care of Buddha’s disciples, and support the Precept Altar.

Having a examination process at the pagoda and with the permission of the Monks at Hoang Phap pagoda, 4 Bhikkhu and 18 male novices who registered to receive these precepts at Thien Hoa precept altar.
