Update: 13/09/2015
On the evening of September 12th, 2015 (Lunar July 30th, Goat Year), in the monthly Repentance celebration at Hoang Phap Pagoda, Jun. Venerable Thich Tam Dac had a lecture.

Repentance Celebration

On the topic “Let the mind be peaceful”, the Venerable shared the Buddhists with some experience in order to live peacefully when they faced to obstacles and annoyance in daily life. How can we resolve the adversities and live in equanimity before bad luck which always appears suddenly in our life.

Every day, we follow false mind; so loving ourselves gives bad thought of, for example, my house, my body, my wife, my son/daughter,… Then, all purposes move around to desire ourselves and they lead us to the conceit. So, we always foster ourselves, we create selfish lives and want to envy with others. Therefore, if we want to avoid wrong thinking, we must know how to observe that we always change. It cannot be lasting. Through all, we study the way to give up our desires and come back to “wanting less and knowing enough”. Therefore, our lives can become peaceful. After the lecture, there was the schedule of penitence of reciting the Buddhas’ names.
