Repentance ceremony on April 14th, Year of the Tiger

On May 14th, 2022 (April 14th, LC), men and women Buddhists inside and outside HCMC to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the periodical penitential ceremony. Because the Covid-19 epidemic was still complicated, the rite was held in accordance with the new situation, ensuring the conditions for disease prevention and control according to regulations.

Before the ritual, Junior Thich Tam Trieu had a dharma talk named The Buddha, a Great Educator on the occasion of Buddha's birthday.

Most of us think of the Buddha as a teacher, a spiritual teacher. Now, the monk helps us to have a new view of the Buddha. He is like a father who is always close, loves everyone and he is also a great Educator. The Dharma from Him has educated many people to turn evil and do good, give up greed, hatred, delusion, jealousy, envy... bringing a peaceful and happy life. 

The Junior analyzed each aspect, characteristics and educational methods in Buddhism. These are the characteristics: self-reliance, regardless of class or ethnicity, suitable for each country's culture, solidarity and harmony, causality, fairness, equality in deliverance.

 The Buddha not only guided people to liberate suffering, leave five desires, give up the family to pursue the purpose of monastic life, but also the teachings for lay people living in society; youth education, child duties and child parenting duties; Educating the relationship between teacher - student, wife - husband, friend... in order to bring about a life of awareness, right action, harmony and love. By the classic stories, it shows that He also used His physical education method for his disciples and Buddhists to learn and practice following.

Finally, the monk talked about using the means of saving beings to adapt to the new era, bring efficiency and many benefits.
