Repentance ceremony on June 30th, Year of the Snake

On July 24th, 2025 (June 30th, Year of the Snake), men and women Buddhists returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend a periodical penitential ceremony.

Before the rite, monks of the pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Duyet, Abbot of Tam Phap temple in Dong Nai gave a dharma talk named A site that filled with love at a border temple.

 

On the occasion of preaching in the repentance ceremony after many years away from the temple to spread the Dharma, the monk told about the conditions and the process of forming Tam Phap Pagoda. Located in the border area between Vietnam and Cambodia, a simple pagoda still quietly spreads the light of Buddhism and love to the people there. Although having encountered many obstacles and difficulties in all aspects at first time, he gradually overcame them, building trust with the people here by volunteer activities and meaningful and beneficial retreat programs. Gradually, the temple has become a spiritual support for the local residents.

 

The small pagoda in the border area is a proof of the miracle of Buddhism, the miracle of compassionate wisdom that was forged and lit up from difficult days with the blessing of Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and the spirit of continuing the Patriarchs' great aspirations.

 

 After the Dharma talk, the mass entered the penitential ritual as usual.
