Repentance ceremony on May 14th, Year of the Cat

On July 1st, 2023 (May 14th, Year of the Cat), good men and believing women inside and outside HCMC returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend the periodical penitential ceremony.

Before the rite, Junior Thich Tam Thach, Abbot of Quang Phap pagoda in Tay Ninh gave a dharma talk named "Great Love".

By the Buddha - Bodhisattvas examples, the Junior encouraged the mass to try to learn. We have an ordinary destiny; although we cannot compare with Them, we can practice good qualities by keeping the precepts. Although we know that in life, we cannot avoid mistakes, causing suffering to people and sentient beings, we are Buddha's disciples, know our mistakes - correct our mistakes, try to give love, spread loving-kindness to everyone around, from relatives to strangers. That love is like a great river silently flowing, bringing cool water to all living beings, like a mother's immense love for her children. Besides, we should know how to respect, love and repay our parents and ancestors. Thus, where there is love, that place is happiness.

After the Dharma talk, the mass entered the penitential ritual as usual.
