Repentance ceremony on Sep. 30th, Year of the Snake

On Nov. 19th, 2025 (Sep. 30th, LC), good men and believing women inside and outside HCMC returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend a periodical penitential rite.

The Monks of Hoang Phap pagoda in HCMC, Junior Thich Tam Trong, Abbot of Nhat Phap temple had a dharma talk to all Buddhists before the rite.

 

Learning Buddhism on social media in the era of strong technological development has become extremely easy but that convenience brings with it its negatives. Many people who are just starting to learn Buddhism easily fall into confusion before the vast sea of knowledge, find it difficult to distinguish right from wrong, and even can deviate from the path of practice. Therefore, Buddhists when practicing Buddhism at the beginning need to build a correct foundation of practice, suitable for their own capacity and level; learn the Dharma in a clear and selective order, so that their path and method of practice do not deviate from the core purpose of helping practitioners find peace, happiness and progress to enlightenment and deliverance.

 

After the Dharma talk, the mass entered the penitential ritual as usual.
