Repentant Ceremony April 14TH, 2019

On May 18th, 2019 (April 14th, LC), devout Buddhist from in and out of HCMC presented at Hoang Phap to join the monthly repentant ceremony.

As usual, there is a Dharma Talk given by the monk before the ceremony happened. Today the Talk names “Compassion and loving-kindness fruit Happiness” given from Ven. Thich Tam Thuc, a Hoang Phap monk.

Because of lacking compassion and loving-kindness in life, we mostly get suffering. In Buddhism, loving-kindness is bringing happiness to others, compassion is wishing others to be free from suffering. One needs cultivating compassion for being happy, however, they have to treat well themselves at first. When your heart is warm and large enough, you can share with others. Doing this you will be happy every day of your life.

You need loving kindness and compassion to warm up others but do it with your wise, otherwise, it will give the contrary effect.

It’s really a meaningful talk for the Buddha’s birthday!
