Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hóa

On Sep. 01st, 2020 (lunar July 14th, Year of Mouse), good men and believing women in and out Nga Sơn district returned to Dong Cao Pagoda to attend the periodic penance ceremony on occasion of the Ullambana season.

Before the repentant rite, male novice Chanh Niem Giao on behalf of the disciples of Dong Cao pagoda congratulated the Junior Abbot Ven on adding a religion age after the rain retreat in the year of mouse.

He gladly received almsgiving and is grateful to all present participants. Next, he preached about religious age, practice methods and the ways of expressing filial piety to parents and deceased ancestors during the Ullambana season to obtain the blessing and happiness.

After that, the mass started the repentant rite as usual. Next, the participants sat together to share their practice and cultivation.
