Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa

On March 16th, 2022 (Feb.14th, Year of the Tiger), good men and believing women in and out of Nga Sơn district returned to Dong Cao Pagoda to attend the periodic penance ceremony.

Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda, Junior Thich Tam Hung guided the mass to observe their three karma, and review Three Refuges and Five Precepts. By this, the monk has a couple of reminders to practitioners; try to build the spiritual house of ancestors for many generations and help people know about Buddhadharma. Let's create peaceful energy together towards the anniversary of Buddha and Bodhisattvas.

Especially in this rite, the mass heard simple and meaningful words of an older nun, Thich Nu Duc Thuan, nun of Quan Am Monastery in HCMC, who has just had a necessary matter to return to her homeland. At the end of the rite, it is time for the mass to enjoy a light party at the temple and receive a gift of Dharma.
