Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa

On June 12th, 2022 (May 12th, LC), good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda to repent three karma, review Three Refuges and Five Precepts, instructed by Junior Thich Tam Hung.

At the beginning of the ritual, Buddhist Nguyen Thi Chao (Lien Hong), the group’s Chief in Yen Phap pagoda read internal rules of the ashram. Then, Junior Thich Tam Hung, the Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda led the chanting of the penitential mantra to enlighten three karmas and review Three Rules and Five Precepts of lay Buddhists.

He had encouraged the participants, trying to nurture the ancestors’ spiritual house for many generations, help people know the Buddhadharma, and create peaceful energy together.

The end of the rite is a warm party of the Master and the mass at the temple, as well as receiving a gift of Dharma before leaving.
