Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On Jan. 05th, 2023 (Dec. 14th, LC) good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s custom) to attend the periodic penance rite and review Three refuge- Five precepts.

After the mass gathering at the Hoa Sen main hall, Buddhist Lien Hong read the rules of activities of the ashram. Next, the Abbot and Junior Thich Tam Nghien came to the main hall and instructed the mass about the monthly chanting rite of illuminating Three karma, as well as review Three Refuge - Five Precepts of lay Buddhists.

Then, the Abbot shared a few words about dharma. Next, he told daily stories to help the practitioners cultivate bodhicitta more firmly. By this chance, he also cordially invites the mass on Sunday, Jan. 8th, 2023 (Dec. 17th, the Year of the Tiger) to come to the temple to attend The year-end summarizing retreat.
