Repentant Ceremony at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

In the evening of Dec. 12th, 2023 (Oct. 30th, Year of the Cat), good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s custom) in Thanh Hoa to attend a periodic penance rite and welcome dharma treasure.

Before the ritual, the attendees invited the monks to bring the Dharma treasure from the Main Hall to Ngo Chan Tu lecture hall so that they could pay respects and recite the "Happiness" sutra.

Meeting conditions on a pilgrimage to worship relics in Sri Lanka in the last days of October 2023, with the wish to spread joy to everyone around, Junior Thich Tam Hung respectfully received the sutra of Happiness, and Kindness, which written on Corypha umbraculifera leaves, where the canons were proclaimed for the 4th time, then returned to the temple for Buddhists to contemplating and pay respects.

Before that, he shared dharma words about Sri Lanka, helping the listeners maintain their Bodhi mind, progress diligently on the path of cultivating and studying Buddhism towards Buddhahood in the future.

After that, the mass entered the Repentance period as usual.
