Repentant Ceremony May 28th, 2018

On May 28th, 2018 (April 14th, Lunar Calendar), devout Buddhist from in and outside HCMC gathered at Hoang Phap temple for monthly repentant ceremony attending.

At 6 pm, Venerable Thich Tam Khuong had a Dharma Talk on the title “ Happy Vesak Day”. By this talk, Venerable made people more clear about the era 624 BC, April 15 Lunar Calendar. He supported information about the history of the day the prince was born, the meaning of his seven steps, his first words. After that Venerable encouraged people to celebrate the Buddha’s birthday. Meaning of doing the donation, decorating the Lumbini garden, releasing animals, Buddha image’s float, flag hanging, poster hanging, family gathering…in the Buddha’s birthday is self-experience. When experience had been spent, we will understand what the Buddha had taught. To finish, Venerable gave some recommendations to everyone the message for practice, in which, one practitioner should have a “warm heart and conscious mind” to bring about benefit for self and others.
