Repentant Ceremony on April 29th, Year of the Snake at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

On May 27th, 2025 (April 29th, LC), good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect) in Thanh Hoa to attend a periodic penance rite.

The mass solemnly listened to a dharma talk named “The Path of Transformation” preached by Junior Thich Tam Vuong, Abbot of Tay Phap pagoda in Tay Ninh. Appearing in the world, the Buddha taught the path of awakening to help sentient beings transform suffering into happiness. The Dharma he taught is the eternal truth, a priceless treasure for those who have the opportunity to follow and practice towards a life of joy and deliverance. From the Buddha's life and his own practice experience, the monk helped the mass understand the most practical path of transformation which is for each person to make an effort to practice Buddhism, reduce suffering, and bring happiness to themselves and others.
