In the evening of March 09th, 2024 (Feb. 30th, Year of the Dragon), good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect) in Thanh Hoa to attend a periodic penance rite.

Before the rite, the ashram listened to the temple rules.

Next, Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung instructed the mass to repent six senses, reminded Three Refuges-Five precepts, and then received dharma words by the monk.

The ritual takes place periodically on the 8th, 14th, 23rd and 29th (or 30th) of the lunar month.
