Repentant Ceremony on March 12th, Year of Buffalo

On March 12th, 2020 (Jan. 29th, LC) good men and believing women in and out of Ho Chi Minh City returned to Hoang Phap Pagoda to attend the periodic penance rite.

Due to the difference in karma, we ‘ll have different living conditions, psychological tendencies and cognitive levels. Each person is an especial individual that creates many nuances in life by his attitude and behavior. For that reason, underlying in mind is the conflict and struggle between each individual. In order to ensure the safety, interests and needs of themselves, many people lashed out and hurt each other in many forms. In fact, we are attracted to five senses (wealth, beauty, fame, food, sleep), but forget impermanence is next to us, accompanying unsatisfactory things, illnesses, old age and death following; consequently, we get suffering when it comes.

By the way, he recommended to the mass to return to the Buddha regularly, when returning to the temple is to return to ourselves to feel inner strength and transform suffering. No matter what the situation is, we always orient ourselves to the path of truth, we should live honestly, practice, and do good deeds right now ... do not wait tomorrow because impermanence will come unexpectedly. Everything in the world will move and always change, it comes and then goes, only our loving toward beings remains in life.

After that, the mass listened to the song Sand dust in life.

After the talk, the mass started the penitential ceremony as usual.
