Repentant Ceremony on March 29th, Year of the Cat at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

In the evening of May 18th, 2023 (March 29th, Year of the Cat), good men and believing women everywhere returned to Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda’s custom) in Thanh Hoa to attend a periodic penance rite and chanted precepts.

Next, Dong Cao pagoda’s Junior Abbot Thich Tam Hung instructed the mass in the penance rite and chanted precepts. Then, he had dharma words, shared practice experiences, as well as encouraged Buddha disciples to focus on the great and sacred event - Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist Calendar 2567 – Solar calendar 2023.

At the end of the ceremony, Buddhists were given Buddhism flags and statues to decorate Lumbini garden, Buddha's Birthday celebration at home.

Last, the mass received the temple’s gifts after the rite.
