Ritual of visiting and offering homage to Late Most Venerable at Phat Buu Pagoda

In the morning of May 09th, 2020 (lunar April 17th, the year of rat), on the news of Most Ven. Thich Thien Y 's death, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh and monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda visited and burnt incense to offer the Late Most spirit, praying that he will come to the land of Buddha.

Late Most Ven. Thich Thien Y was the witness of Director Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hoc Mon district, Abbot of Phat Buu pagoda in Hoc Mon. Because of old age, he followed the impermanent rule and gave up the physical body at 22h 45’ on May 7th, 2020 (April 15th, year of rat), lived 97 years old and 60 years old of religion.

The rite putting corpse into coffin was at 14 pm, on May 8th, 2020 (lunar April 16th, year of rat) at Phat Buu Pagoda, Nhi Tan 1 Hamlet, Tan Thoi Nhi Commune, Hoc Mon District, HCMC.

Visit the funeral will begin at 16:00,on May 08th, 2020 (lunar April 16, the rat year). The rite of commemorating and moving coffin to the Monk's stupa will be at 6h30 on May 12th, 2019 (on April 20th, the rat year) at Phat Buu pagoda.
