Ritual of visiting and offering homage to the Master of Nuns Thich Nu Hue Giac

On the news of Chief nun Thich Nu Hue Giac ’s death, Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, monks from Hoang Phap pagoda visited, lit up the incense her spirit in the morning of Jan. 23rd, 2021 (Dec. 11th, LC).

Late Chief nun Thich Nu Hue Giac, Former Member of the Director Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha/ VBS term VI; Former Member of the Central Social Charity Board of VBS term VI, VII; Former  Deputy of Central Nuns' Board of the VBS term V; Former Advisor of Central Nuns' Board of VBS of the VI term; Former Member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province for the term VI and VII; Former Deputy of Director Board, Head of Social Charity Board of VBS term VI; Former Deputy Central Nuns' Board of the Affair of VBS, Dong Nai province; Former Head of the Sponsorship of Dong Nai Buddhist Intermediate School, Head of Non Bong Pure Land Sect; Head of Quan Am monastery, Abbot of Linh Son Pagoda (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

The Master of nuns named Le Cung in religion, dharma name Thich Nu Hue Giac, continued the 42th tradition of Linn-Chih, is the next generation from Most Thich Thien Phuoc, founder of the Lien Tong Sect of  Non Bong Pure Land. Because of old age, the Master of Nuns followed the impermanent rule and gave up the physical body at 07:00 on Jan. 21th, 2021 (Dec. 09th, the Rat year), at 84 years old with 54 years of religious age at Quang Am Monastery, quarter 3, Buu Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province

The entry ceremony in the funeral was held at 18:00 on Jan. 21th, 2021 (Dec. 09th, LC). The funeral rite will be held at at Quang Am Monastery, quarter 3, Buu Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city, Dong Nai province

The funeral will begin at 07:00, on Jan. 22nd, 2021 (Dec. 10th, LC). The rite of commemorating at 7h00 on Jan. 25th, 2021 (Dec. 13th, LC) and moving coffin to Linh Son pagoda (Tan Hoa, Phu My, Ba Ria - Vung Tau). Then, putting the coffin into stupa at 08:00, on Jan. 28th, 2021 (Dec. 16th, LC) at Linh Son pagoda (Tan Hoa, Phu My, Ba Ria - Vung Tau).
