Shakyamuni Buddha commemoration entering Nirvana at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

Towards the Shakyamuni Buddha commemoration entering Nirvana on March 5th, 2023 (Feb. 14th, LC) devout Buddhists returned Dong Cao pagoda in Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa (belonging to the Hoang Phap pagoda’s sect) to remind last teachings when Shakyamuni Buddha leaving the World.

Finishing to watch the video about Buddha life, the representative of Buddhists arrived in the living room, and invited monks to demonstrate at the memorial ritual. After offering incense and worship Three Jewel, MC Lien Hien spoke about the reason for the ceremony. On behalf of the monks, Junior Thich Tam Hung reviewed the moment when the Buddha entered Nirvana, and paid homage to His life before walking on meditation around the Buddha statue. Next, it was the time the mass sat together to chant the Buddha’s Last teachings of Sutra before He entered into Nirvana.

In the quiet space at midnight as if settling, each prayer resounded throughout the sky. That is a message of advice and encouragement. Since then, each practitioner has opportunities to look back and reflect on his practice and service ideals. Next, Buddhist Lien Huong offered emotional words on the occasion of Nirvana Buddha's commemoration. Finally, the monks and practitioners had a small party together.
