Spreading love in the full moon day of January at Dong Cao pagoda, Thanh Hoa

It means, “Love” can bring happiness to sentient beings; “Mercy” can save sentient beings from suffering. One of the expressions of love is to protect the lives of sentient beings. Its meaning expresses this clear reality in two short words: Liberation.
With that sacred notion, on Feb. 15th, 2022 (January 15, LC), after the reciting of Ksihitigarbha Sutra, the monks and Buddhists of Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa province had a creature-freeing trip to spread love at Hung Long canal, Nga Son town. All of them are released to the natural environment; if they have long fortune, they will live, or not, they will be born in a good realm.
After that, the mass returned to the temple to continue chanting the sutra of Noble Eightfold Path and worshiping on the full moon day according to Vietnamese's traditional rite. Finally, an intimate party ended the day’s good activity.
