Spring welcoming moment in Hoa Phuc Pagoda

As a matter of yearly routine, every New Year's Eve, thousands of Buddhists from all over the country come back to Hoa Phuc Pagoda at Hoa Truc Village, Quoc Oai District, Hanoi to participate in the New Year's Eve celebration, the transition from Year of Money to the Year of Rooster.
The ceremony started with "Spring welcome performance" performed by the young Buddhists.
After that, the Buddhists had taken part in the chanting with the desire to shake off the misery from the past year, refresh body and mind to welcome a new year of purity and peace. After the chanting, Master Thich Tam Hao - Hoa Phuc Temple Sangha on behalf of the Buddhists gave New Year wishes to Ven. Thich Chan Tinh - Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City) and Ven. Thich Tam Hoa - Abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda.
In the sacred atmosphere of reverence, Venerable Thich Tam Hoa offered a dharma talk to the Buddhists about the tale of lucky money in the new year. Simultaneously, Venerable advised Buddhists to study about other spring ceremonies in order not to be entangled in the bad practice of superstition. Also, he suggested that Buddhists should know how to apply karma in life to enjoy a truly joyful spring. Finally, Venerable sent his greetings to all Vietnamese all over the world.
At the end of the ceremony, all the participants had happily received lucky money and presents from the pagoda on the occasion of the beginning of spring.
