Starting Summer Retreat for children in 2022 at Dong Cao pagoda

Aiming at a useful playground in summer days for children, Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) organized the 4th Summer Retreat for Children from ages 7-13 years old to attend with the theme "Temporary ordination” on May 31 to June 4, 2022. Retreat program takes place in many necessary activities to help children learn independence in life.

On the afternoon of May 29th, 2022, over 200 children returned to the pagoda to register for the course. On behalf of the organizers, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao Pagoda had a few words to instruct the necessary things of the retreat to the parents and students present.

After that, Buddhist Lien Thanh, members of Yen Phap pagoda and Buddhists in the Youth Buddhist Club arranged and divided them to teach them how to wash clothes. Then, Junior Abbot guided the children to meditate and eat rice in silence

In the evening, Buddhists Lien Thanh and the Buddhist Youth Club guided some essential demeanor of the Buddha's disciples, such as the way of greeting, worshiping to the Buddha, arranging blankets and pillows ... on the first day of the month, the monks celebrated birthdays for the Buddhists of the ashram with the children in the retreat. The Monk gave gifts to congratulate the next day. In that atmosphere, everyone celebrates their birthday together.
