Summer Retreat 2023 at Dang Phap Pagoda, Binh Phuoc

From 13th-17th of June, 2023 Dang Phap Pagoda in Binh Phuoc province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda ‘s sect) officially held a Summer Retreat 2023 for young people aged 12 - 20 years old to attend.

The kids listened to the necessary rules, areas of eating, and sleeping after their registration.

Coming to the opening activity in the afternoon, young learners listened to the rules, and were instructed by the monks in the necessary demeanor when attending the retreat.

In the retreat, young learners read the Lesson of Gratitude composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh. This will remind students when they return at home, they should vow to become filial children and good learners, benefiting others.

Little practitioners could listen to lectures on gratitude to parents, the dangers of modern addictions which are taught by Junior Thich Quang Luc - Member of HCMC propagation Board, Ky Quang II Pagoda, Go Vap District, HCMC.

This chance, 200 young attendees took refuge in Three Jewels – Five precepts.

Next, the students wrote essays about their gratitude to their parents and their feelings in the retreat after monks' teachings. The retreat took place in five days but awakened the filial piety from the articles, the children knew how to remember the gratitude of their parents, and know how to love all sentient beings.

Before leaving, the students received a gift of dharma, including: books Children's Lessons, Gratitude Lessons, Mother's Tears; Poisonous Snake, etc, composed by Most Master Thich Chan Tinh.
