Summer Retreat 2023 at Van Dai Phuoc Pagoda, Ha Tinh

Over 60 student cultivators from 09 to 16 years old gathered at Van Dai Phuoc Pagoda in Ha Tinh to attend a Summer Retreat named Connection to good Conditions on June 5th-8th, 2023 (April 18th-21th, the Cat Year).

The retreat with the help of monks were present Junior Thich Vien Nhu, Head of Director Board (DB) Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province - Abbot of Phong San Pagoda - Head of Organizers; Junior Thich Tam Quyen – Vice Organizers; Junior Thich Tam Qua, Junior Thich Tam Luc; Junior Thich Minh Dinh and monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda in HCM City.

Coming to the retreat, young learners can listen to Lecturers’ teachings as following:

- Junior Thich Dao Quang with the theme "Kind heart"

- Junior Thich Tam Luc with the theme "Gratitude lesson"

- Junior Thich Dao Thuyen with the theme "History of the Buddha"

- Junior Thich Tanh Dai - Deputy DB of Nghi Xuan district with the topic "Six methods to become pious children and good students".

In the Retreat, young learners had courses in chanting Ullambana sutra in the evening, read the Lesson of Gratitude in the early morning, and took refuge in the Three Jewels to become Buddha's disciples. Before the end of the retreat, they attended the program "Lighting gratitude candles" to show repayment to their parents.

In addition, the students also learned the skill "How to prevent fire and prevent drowning" from Police officers, Youth Union officials of Xuan Hai commune, Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province.

The retreat was not long but left a deep impression in students’ hearts, as well as everyone present.
