Tay Khanh Pagoda, Thai Binh Province is welcoming the Lunar New Year (Goat Year)

Tet holidays are coming. People eagerly tidy and decorate their houses, prepare new clothes, new furniture, or red parallel sentences, or display a dish of fruits as praying the luck and happiness for a whole year. At the pagoda, which Vietnamese people usually visit and worship in the first day of New Year is gradually changing its jocund cloth that is full of meditation-flavor meaning.

With this joy, being instructed by Senior Ven. Thich Chan\r\nTinh, the abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh- the abbot of\r\nTay Khanh Pagoda, Thai Binh Province and Buddhists are promptly completing “to-\r\ndo for Tet” such as wrapping Chung Cake, making photograph displaying room, making\r\nsmall models for creating playing ground for the young, etc in order to bring\r\nthe spring to people living here, especially to the young to have a clear\r\nconsciousness about Buddhism. Those preparations made us think about an inner\r\nchange. Our soul needs to refresh by eliminating the old; for example illiberal\r\nthought, lack of compassion attitude, negative speech covering our life, etc.\r\nTherefore, we could welcome a happy and peaceful spring.
