Tay Khanh Pagoda, Thai Binh Province welcoming the Lunar New Year (Goat Year)

When the petals of apricot bloomed radiantly in the South and peach blossomed brilliantly in the North. This is the time that spring returns to the country of Viet Nam. In harmony with the Tet’s air, everyone saluted New Year in animation. In the evening of February 19th, 2014 (January 01st Goat year). Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh, the abbot of Tay Khanh Pagoda, Cao Mai hamlet, Quang Hung village, Kien Xuong district, Thai Binh province held to welcome the Lunar New Year’s Eve (Goat year) for local people in the area.

The clock was 0:00 midnight, the Junior Ven. Abbot and the\r\npagoda’s monks came to the Buddha hall to carry out the first ceremony, praying\r\nfor peaceful country and joyful humans.

After an incense offering ceremony to worship the\r\nBuddha in New year’s occasion, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Kinh, the abbot of\r\nTay Khanh pagoda blessed the new year’s wishes to Buddhists at the\r\nbeginning of the year, and hopefully that everyone practice together and living\r\nin the teachings of Buddha in next year. At the end of the talk, Junior Ven.\r\nsent to Buddhists a poem in New Year's Day.
