The 13th Lotus seeds Sowing Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

With the theme "Mid-autumn besides Buddha" of Sep. 24th, 2023, Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda) organized the 13th Lotus seed sowing retreat for over 100 children from 6-13 years old everywhere to attend.

After the registration in the morning, Ms Lien Giang and members in the Youth Club directed kids kowtowing to the Buddha, divided them into groups, and studied demeanor when coming to the temple in the main hall.

Next, the children returned to the living room to ask about the Abbot’s health and receive gifts from him. Then, the Abbot led little learners to release creatures which express their love to sentient beings.

Then, the kids participated in playing group games and practicing Mid-Autumn Festival performances guided by members of the club.

At 11.00 o’ clock, the monks and kids had a lunch in mindfulness.

After the nap in the afternoon, children started the time to sit quietly, read the Gratitude poem led by Abbot, and listen to his teachings.

Next, the children participated in painting statues and drinking milk tea donated by Buddhists.

Besides, Buddhists have returned to the pagoda to prepare the program "Mid-Autumn Festival besides Buddha".

Finally, the children followed the monks in walking meditation and reciting Buddha's name and danced together guided by Ms. Tra My and Lan Anh.
