Beginning the retreat in the morning, Junior Thich Tam Hung, Head of the Organizers instructed the mass to pay homage to the Three Jewel, chanted the sutra Turning Dharma Wheel, and transferred Eight precepts for the mass
In the afternoon, the mass recited the Dharma-Lotus Sutra of the Universal-Door chapter and recited the Buddha's name after the time of meditation sitting.
In the evening, at 19:30, the mass invited the Abbot to preach a dharma with the topic "Ten-thing importance in Reciting the Buddha name". In a daily life story over an hour, he pointed out the importance of vowing when the Buddha's name is to gain the greatest benefit. The monk also instructed clearly that if one wants to change cause and effect and achieve wholeheartedly reciting Buddha's name, each person should do blessings and merit, cultivate listening, thought, practice in order to reach Truthfulness-Goodness-Beauty, Samsara deliverance.
The retreat ended in the joy of the mass. Before leaving, Buddhists received a book gift named Wholeheartedly contributing for ethics composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh.
