The 18th "I have returned…" Retreat at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

Commemorating Siddhartha Bodhisattva enlightened achievement being a great event to Buddhist disciples, as the path to deliverance was opened, a life of compassion, love and wisdom was established, peace and happiness spread everywhere.

To express a sincere gratitude to Buddha Shakyamuni and to appreciate the deep gratitude to the Buddhas, Bodhisattvas and Holy Monks who appeared to save sentient beings and spread the Dharma, on Jan. 04th-05th, 2025, Dong Cao Pagoda (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda sect) in Thanh Hoa province, organized the 18th Retreat "I have returned ..." for Buddhists everywhere to attend.

 

Junior Thich Tam Hung, Head of the Organizers instructed the mass to chant the Turning Dharma Wheel sutra, and transfer Eight precepts beginning the retreat.

 

After taking a nap, the mass had a meditation session in the afternoon.

 

The Abbot preached a dharma talk named the 7th part of "Ten-thing importance in reciting the Buddha name" at 19h30 p.m. He pointed vows’ importance to Pure-land cultivators. The monk also instructed clearly if one wants to change karma, achieve reciting Buddha's name wholeheartedly, each person should self-do blessings and merit; cultivate listen-thought-practice within each person in order to reach Truthfulness-Goodness-Beauty, Samsara deliverance and build a pure land in this world.

 

The retreat ended in the joy of the mass.
