Update: 16/07/2020
Over 600 children from 10 to 14 years old were present at Hoang Phap Pagoda, officially entering the first day in the religious practice on July 16th, 2020.
Participating in summer retreat is a place where learners are trained to be independent and disciplined in a schedule for studying, playing and improving health. They also joined in skills classes of living, how to protect themselves, how to behave when a dangerous situation occurs. Meanwhile, children live in an environment away from their phones and social networks, increasing their ability to communicate, learn from each other, build the solidarity spirit in collectivism living.
After having breakfast in the morning, all of them gathered together in the lecture hall of Dharma-Wheel Building on the 3rd floor, where they listened to a Dharma talk from Senior Ven. Thich Quang Thien, Buddhist Lecturer at the Buddhism Intermediate and College School, Head of Education Board for Buddhist Sangha in District 12, Abbot of Tinh Quang Pagoda, District 12, through the topic of Shadow.

As a result, there will be trouble when we lack control of our anger and then we will harm ourselves and others.
By this preaching, the Monk reminded all kids to master themself before the excitement or anger in harmonizing with daily activities, they will reap much success. This is also a way to respect love and filial piety to our parents.
During the schedule in the afternoon, the monks guided children with basic demeanour, such as clapping their hands, prostrating, bowing, and rituals of offering meals in the lunch ...
