The 1st day of Peace Lighting Assembly on the anniversary Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara at Co Am Temple

Hundreds of male and female Buddhists gathered at Co Am pagoda in Nghe An province (belonging to Hoang Phap pagoda) to attend the ritual of reciting the great compassion mantra and pay homage to the name of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.

On this year's Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara anniversary, the pagoda will send each Buddhist an oil lamp to chant and pay homage for five days of Oct. 9-14th, 2022 (Sep.14 -19th, LC).

On this occasion, the participants learned together the Bodhisattva's noble vow to observe, consider and listen to the sufferings of others in order to help. He always observed life by sound according to the principle of conditions, non-ego, and altruism, thus acquiring how to overcome anxiety, fear, and get rid of the bondage of suffering.
