The 1st Retreat “Returning to Origin”

The retreat is an opportunity for the Sangha to set up and nurture a peaceful source of energy to respectfully give to the Founder and their master to enlighten, continue and develop the career of promoting Dharma.
In the morning, the mass recited together the Buddha's Brief-Sutra at the time of Nirvana, the last teaching of the Buddha, a necessary scripture for the monk. After having breakfast, the mass did together in a spirit of harmony and solidarity.
Next, the monks gathered to come to the lecture Hall of Dharma Wheel Building to listen together to a Dharma Talk named Listen to my Confidences from Senior Ven. Thich Chan Tinh, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda.
The master told about the time in the past, when he first visited Taiwan with so many happy, new things when visiting the landmarks and temples. From this trip, he noticed many discoveries and applications in organizing, uniform clothes for practitioners, establishing seven-day retreat for Buddhists, a form of mass practice, and demeanor of Buddhist practitioners ... Also since then, the domestic cultivation movement increased, expanded in other places.
This chance, he also reviewed necessary, basic postures to have mindfulness, practice in every daily gesture; practitioners should be conscious of their steps, words, and actions in daily life; unless we have done well, if not, it is so hard to practice the noble teachings. After returning to their branches, the monks should preach the Buddhists there.
Due to the epidemic Covid - 19 an outbreak appeared again and somewhat complicated progress. So, the Retreat “Returning to Origin” that will take place in three days (Dec. 1st – 3rd, 2020) will stop earlier to ensure the mass’s health. However, the retreat still left a beautiful memory in the learners’ heart, between master-disciple and brotherhood.
