The 1st Three-Jewel Refuge Ceremony in 2022

Taking refuge in the Three Jewels is extremely important, marking the time a person officially becomes a Buddhist. From now, all attendees have entered the dharma house, getting a good spiritual path for their life. Therefore, the Refuge Ceremony was held very seriously and took place all day.
After registering in the morning, participants came to the lecture halls to learn right demeanor when they come to the pagoda, such as the manner of clasping their hands, greeting, prostrating, etc,... these are very necessary and important rules, because not everyone has also enough conditions to attend and learn these rules. Next, Junior Thich Tam Tri guided and explained thoroughly the purpose, meaning of Three Refuge and the law of causes and effects by five precepts. He analyzed and explained each part that constitutes sin in the precepts and the necessary knowledge to become a Buddhist.
In the afternoon, the ceremony officially took place under the witness of all Sangha at the pagoda. On behalf of monks, Most Thich Chan Tinh transferred Three Refuge and Five Precepts for all attendees. Next, the Most had some instruction and encouragement words to new Buddhists.
Appearing in this life, we are very lucky when we are human beings, and have enough conditions to hear Buddha Dharma. In particular, we have had the right belief when we returned to rely on the Three Jewels.
We take refuge in the Three Jewels because we are aiming for a peaceful and noble life by the practice of Buddha's teachings. What we do when we live in life, when death is near coming, will go with that scene. Truely, we can't bring our property, family, but only carry our karma. Therefore, the Master gave a message to the mass, they should try to cultivate many good dharma: practice, vegetarianism, doing good to avoid evil, cultivating virtues... to sow blessing for the present and future.
Along with receiving Three Refuge, keeping on Five Precepts of the Buddhists is very significant. Thanks to this, we will have the personality of a true Buddhist. Five precepts - five basic moral principles will help receivers perfect them and lead their living to a clean and noble life.
The ceremony ended in joy for everyone. Before leaving, all Buddhists were given books, such as, Summary of the story of Shakyamuni Buddha, Lessons for Buddhist, Brief Introductions of Hoang Phap Monastery, Buddha Dharma Saving My Destiny, Three Refuge and Five Precepts, Most Thich Chan Tinh’s advice.
