The 28th Kid Playground

Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the 28th children's playground for over 200 kids to come back to the pagoda to attend on Feb. 20st, 2022 (Jan. 20th, LC).

After finishing registering in the morning, monks guided little learners coming at the lecture hall to participate in funny activities, read the poem titled Lesson of gratitude. Next, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hanh, one of the monks at Hoang Phap Pagoda preached a dharma talk with the theme "Learning every day".

Plants, animals or people in nature have to need time to grow from low to high, from small to large. Likewise, if we want to have wisdom, we need to learn every day, not naturally we can be good ones. By study, we can have knowledge, wisdom to avoid wrongdoing that causes misfortune and suffering to ourselves, our families and society. Thus, in order to be present in this world, we should not forget to be grateful to our parents, who brought us into this world and nurtured us every day. Along with that is being grateful to the teachers who taught us to give us knowledge, know what is right or wrong, and help us have skills, careers, etc., to prepare us for a good live in this life.

In the afternoon, little kids were instructed rules of the Buddha’s disciples when coming the pagoda, such as salutations, prostrations, how to meditate, rules while eating, sleeping, resting.

Before leaving, the children received gifts from the monks, the book named Respect and gratitude composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh and other gifts.
