The 34th Great Master’ Anniversary of Death – Hoang Phap Pagoda Founder

In the morning of Nov. 09th, 2022 (Oct. 16th, LC), Hoang phap pagoda took place a solemn anniversary to commemorate Late Great Most Ngo Chan Tu ‘s passing. Thousands of monks, nuns, and Buddhists over the country returned to the pagoda to attend this ceremony.

On the Day of the Patriarch's death every year, disciples and their followers gathered at the Hoang Phap pagoda to review, commemorate and give their gratitude to the Great Master, taking it as the force for self-study and Dharma propaganda. This is also an opportunity for inquiring about the Most Master 's health, staying beside the Master to listen to the dharma, encouragement of practice as well as the experience of propagating dharma from him. On this occasion, monks can exchange, share experiences of practice and propagate the dharma in deep fraternity.

In a solemn and tranquil atmosphere of introducing the ceremony program, all participants took one minute to commemorate the Late Great Master. Then, the Co Am’s Abbot, Junior Thich Tam Thanh gave a speech on the life and career of the Late Great Master. On behalf of the custom's disciples, expressing the gratitude of disciples and its followers, the Hoang Phap’s Abbot, Junior Thich Tam Truong had a few words of gratitude to the Founder and master.

Next, the Head Organizers, Most Master Thich Chan Tinh addressed some words to thank the practitioners. Then he had a short talk to the mass. From the life of Buddha and Founder, we realize these honor ones have devoted their whole lives to propagate the dharma and save lives. All material is only temporary, sometimes it is an obstacle if the meditator cannot control his mind. Finally, he reminded the practitioners to learn the example of the Buddha and the Founder. Together as brothers in the pagoda’s Sect, all of you must know how to love and help each other in order to build flourishing and growing Buddhist; As a true disciple of Buddhism, practitioners should try to live fully to continue the wisdom career of Buddha, Patriarch and Master.

In the ceremony, there was also the participation of singer Ngoc Huyen with the song “Gratitude to Master'', singer Lam Vu with the song “Blessing to meet the monk".

At the end of the ceremony, monks and Buddhists offered incense to the Great Master. After that, the mass had a cozy lunch together before leaving.

The Buddhists received a set of books named Dharma taste; book: Wholeheartedly for the Faith, the words of the Founder are still recorded; comics: Butcher XinXa, Blessing of offering, The rat biting the shirt... and other gifts.
