The 35th Kid Playground

Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the 35th children's playground with the theme named filial piety to parents for over 500 kids to attend on Sep. 04th, 2022.

After finishing registering in the morning, monks guided little learners coming to the lecture hall to participate in funny activities, such as reading books and watching comics.

Next, Junior Thich Tam Thien had a dharma talk about The meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mid-Autumn Festival is considered as one of the great holidays of the Vietnamese nation, the time when the moon is full and brightest in the eighth lunar month. By the way, he told the story of the moon lady, moon man and explained its meaning. This legend has left us valuable lessons about family affection, the spirit of gratitude and repayment.

 Mid-Autumn Festival - reunion is the moment when families sit together to make offerings to ancestors, grandparents, parents, watch the moon together, serve out feast. In particular, he conveyed two messages on this day as an opportunity to express the love and filial piety of children and grandchildren towards grandparents and parents, as well as to share love with friends having unfortunate circumstances around us. In addition, this is also an opportunity for parents to show their love to their children. Finally, the Venerable talked about the method of filial piety to parents not only expressed by words but also diligent actions, good study, being useful to society in the future.

After the dharma talk, young listeners exchanged and learned with magician Cao Thanh.

In the afternoon, the kids enthusiastically participated in the Mid-Autumn lantern making contest.

Before leaving, young participants received a gift of Dharma from the monks, which was a book named Old herb doctor and other gifts.
