The 36th Kid Playground

Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the 36th children's playground for over 350 kids to attend on Oct. 23rd, 2022.

After finishing registering in the morning, monks guided little learners coming to the lecture hall to participate in funny activities, such as reading books and watching comics.

Junior Thich Tam Truong, Abbot of Hoang Phap pagoda had a short talk with the children on the topic "Honesty".

Honesty is a good, humane virtue of man, it is expressed through honesty, uprightness, respect for the truth. From the small actions in life, the monk pointed out the danger of lack of honesty, that is, losing trust with others, to be alienated by people; more aware of this virtue, kids should live with a good heart, help others, train the honesty to be worthy of being a disciple of Buddha, a pious son and a good citizen.

In the afternoon, the monks taught kids to read the verse named Gratitude and sat quietly.

In the afternoon, the kids listened to the preaching from the monks about the dangers of going to deep pond, whirlpools, needing to acquire their swimming skills; lessons on honesty; dare to admit mistakes and correct them; The things that make a filial son, a good student, learning to say thank you, apologize, and bow. After that, monks answered the children's questions about their practice and daily life.

Before leaving, young participants received a gift of Dharma from the monks, which was a book named Seller jars.
