The 3rd Day of Huong Phap Branch 's Teenage Retreat, Cu Chi
Update: 07/06/2022
In the mind of spreading the Dharma, as well as wishing to support monks and nuns to have a facility to organize retreats, on June 6, 2022, Huong Phap Branch’s the retreat entered the third day. After breakfast, young learners gathered in the Main Hall to listen to a Dharma talk named The Value of Hard Work from Junior Thich Dao Quang, Lecturer at the Buddhism Primary School in HCMC.
Success always requires a lot of converging factors to ensure a happy life; one of these is hard work and diligence. Joy in labor by hard work will create practical value for that person's life. From there, they will receive love and care from relatives and people around them. A product made from diligence will bring more joy, than a product made of intelligence that breeds arrogance. Hard-working people will appreciate what they have, using it properly is also saving blessings for themselves.
In the afternoon, Junior Thich Tam Sy had a talk with the children about the topic "Seeing - listening, practicing self-awareness".
By funny and witty stories but the lessons hidden in them are what the monk wants to convey to little learners. There are things that we saw, but they are not its nature; so, it is necessary to determine what is right, what is wrong, what needs to be done, what does not need to be done, then we ‘ll say or do; of course, when we don't know, ask someone who knows. Next, if a person does not strive and is lazy, he cannot become a good one. Children should live in a good, safe environment. When they lack vigilance, they are prone to harm, especially when they are in contact with Games, Facebook......
In the evening, Junior Thich Tam Tri preached about the Buddha's life along with the purpose and meaning of Three Refuges and Five Precepts so that they clearly understand the refuge and the preciousness of Three Jewels before the rite on the next day, officially becoming a Buddhist.
After that, young learners had a cultural exchange program with famous artists.
