The 47th Kid Playground

Hoang Phap Pagoda organized the 47th children's playground for over 300 kids to attend on Oct. 01st, 2023.

After registering in the morning, Junior Thich Tam Hoa guided little learners coming to the lecture hall to participate in funny activities, play team games.

 Next, the Kids listened to a dharma talk on the topic named Respect life preached by Junior Thich Tam Duoc.

Desire to live and fear of death is the truth of all species, so everyone has the desire to live. Each of us wants to live, and animals are the same, so we need to respect and love the lives of everyone and all species, as the Buddha taught:

 (129) All tremble at force,

     of death are all afraid.

     Likening others to oneself

    Kill not nor cause to kill.

(130) All tremble at force,

       dear is life to all.

     Likening others to oneself

    Kill not nor cause to kill.

(Dhammapada Sutra)

The monk clearly taught about the great merit of our father and mother who gave birth, nurturing us to become adults. He instructed litteners to re-read the comic book Mother-Father graces compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh.  Understanding the hardship, wearing and love of their parents, children must be grateful, be more filial and obedient.

After the Dharma talk, young learners will enjoy the music and exchange with little singers: Bao Ngoc – Runner-up of Children's Talent Search 2022; Singer Bao Nhu, Champion of Child Talent Search 2022.

Before ending the study in the morning, little learners read Most Thich Chan Tinh’s gratitude poem in guiding by monks, remind them to remember the merits of their parents, teachers, Three Jewels, the country and the people around; and then vow to try their best to become good children when they return to their families.

The program energizes children by interactions with Artist Van Anh and the KT Band (Ho Chi Minh City Association of the Blind) for children in the afternoon. Although born in difficult circumstances and physical misfortune, with their determination and will to rise, the members have also realized their dreams and life ideals. With special talents, the club has brought joy and energized young people with many unique musical performances.

The Playground closed with the joy of the children and their parents.

Before leaving, the organizers gave a gift of a comic book named Monkey Caught in a Glue Trap, compiled by Most Thich Chan Tinh to kids.
