The 4th-day Children 's Summer Retreat

On July 18th, 2020 (lunar May 28th, Year of Mouse) was the 4th-day Children's Summer Retreat, all participants listened to a dharma talk from Junior Ven. Thich Tam Luc with the topic "An obedient and respectful child.”

An individual is highly judged not from external values but from internal qualities. The monk explained about the ethics of a child to his parents. According to the Junior Ven., a good child is a person who always takes words, thoughts and actions to make his parents proud and satisfied. In fact, when parents do not meet the requirements of their children, these young people will think that parents do not love, do not understand themselves, so they have thoughts of leaving family ties, finding a other happy destination. Next, all attendees watched a short video about the little kids who spoke up their feelings and confidences about their two procreators.

By the Dharma talk, the Monk reminded the children, do not expect to seek happiness far away, it is the moments when parents are still in life, let do the smallest things toward our two procreators while we can still do it. Don't wait until parents are no more, we will regret it because of this lateness.

In the afternoon, the life skill program was shared by Mr. Bui Tien Hung - Thien Nien Ky Education and Training Co., Ltd on the topic of Independent Living Skills. The program taught attendees gain more knowledge and then guided on some basic skills in an independent living such as, cooking rice, boiling vegetables, washing and arranging clothes ....
