The 5th Gratitude Ceremony to Buddhists at the Minh Chat ashram, Can Tho

In the evening of Jan. 08th, 2023, Junior Thich Tam Hue, Head of Minh Chat ashram celebrated the 5th gratitude Ceremony to the disciples, accompanying with him in serving Three Jewels, such as charity, freeing animals, as well as spreading BuddhaDharma to all regions of the country in recent time.

Attending the ceremony were Junior Thich Tam Hue, Junior Thich Dao Quang, Junior Thich Tam Liem, Junior Thich Tam Cung, Novice Thich Tam Dien, Novice Thich Tam Thi and Buddhists of Hoang Phap Pagoda, Buddhists inside and outside of Can Tho City.

Before the ceremony, the mass looked back at the report summarizing the affairs of Minh Chat ashram in 2022.

On behalf of the Organizers after introducing the program, the monk declared the ceremony's opening. This is also an opportunity for Junior Thich Tam Hue to express his gratitude to Buddhists after the activities during the past year that participants have attached to him.

Everyone in life must receive four great graces: the grace of parents, the grace of the elder teacher, the grace of the nation, and the grace of all sentient beings when they are present in this life. Next, the mass and JuniorThich Tam Liem thought of Four Great Graces by the poem Gratitude composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh, the head of the Hoang Phap family.

In the main part of the program, Junior Thich Dao Quang had a few words to share: Each of us is present in this life thanks to many interrelated external conditions. Buddhist learners need to know how to repay by diligent practice. For lay Buddhists, must keep five basic precepts. Do not commit any demeanor, live a kind life: "Above, repay Four great Graces; below, save three-realm suffering"

The ashram's achievements in the past year, he paid his gratitude to the mass who have joined hands with him to serve the Three Jewels, contributing to spread the Dharma, save sentient beings, and benefit others. Finally, the Junior has emotional confessions to the attendees. Then, he states a message of repentance for his unkind words and actions that made the mass sad.

At last, the Junior presented the grateful gift to each person. Then, the monks gave each attendee a dharma gift, such as: 1 Buddha necklace, and 1 string of beads, books: BuddhaDharma Saving My Life, A Gift of New Year, All heart for Belief, Cultivation at home, etc, composed by Most Thich Chan Tinh.

Representative of the ashram, Junior Thich Tam Hue sent his gratitude to the monks of Hoang Phap pagoda, regardless of the long distance, to the ashram to support the completion of the Gratitude Ceremony.

The ceremony ended with the joy of the mass.
