The 6th gratitude ceremony to disciples

In the evening of Dec. 31st, 2023 Most Master Thich Chan Tinh of Hoang Phap pagoda celebrated the 6th gratitude Ceremony to the disciples who left home and laymen, serving the Three Jewels in the past year.

Before the ceremony, the mass looked back at the report summarizing the affairs of Hoang Phap Pagoda in 2023.

On behalf of the Organizers after introducing the program, the Most Master declared the opening of the ceremony.

The Most Master had a few words to express with the participants. He paid his gratitude to the mass joined hands with him to serve Three Jewels, spread the Dharma, save and benefit sentient beings.

The Buddhist activities of Hoang Phap Pagoda in the past year could not be done by one individual but were the result of contributions from many people: monks, Buddhists, departments, donors, etc. Thereby demonstrating the compassionate spirit of Buddhism to save suffering, and brings benefits to many people.

People will have once time to be born and once time to die, but what we leave behind when dying is the value of life. When having no practice and humility in living, we will easily become arrogant, look down on those below us.

Thanks to this ceremony, he wishes to spread the message to everyone, especially the Abbots and leaders who know gratitude and respect for those who have accompanied and contributed to the success of a community, organizations and unions.

The Most also reminded all attendees to learn respect for everyone. All living beings have Buddha nature and can become Buddhas in the future. We always think like that, to maintain a respectful mind and let go of arrogance.

As a follower of Buddhism, we should follow the Buddha's example, live to benefit others, and propagate Dharma to all beings.

Finally, he has emotional confessions to the attendees. Then, he stated a message of repentance for his unkind words and actions that have made the mass sad.

At the end of the ceremony, the Most Master presented the grateful gift to each person.
