The 6th Retreat "I have returned" at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa, Dong Cao

Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) organized the 6th Retreat "I have returned" (from Jan. 16th to 17 th, 2020) for nearly 100 Buddhists at the local to attend.

After the procedure for entering retreat in the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda, chief of the Organizers had a brief talk about rules and cultivating time.

Then, the mass began chanting the sutra Turning Dharma Wheel (Dhamma - cakka - pavattana) and were transferred Eight precepts from the Monks. The special thing is to be recited the Sutta of Sigalovada is a human teaching ethic that the Buddha taught young learners to abandon and sit quiet, ... the practices that bring peace in the present moment.

In the afternoon, Abbot Ven. instructed the mass to walk meditation around the pagoda which harmonizes with peaceful and positive energy in every step, connecting to nature.

At night, on the invitation of the Organizers, Junior Thich Nguyen Hiep, Member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha/ VBS, Thanh Hoa province, Head of the Board of Directors of VBS in Nga Son district, the abbot of Kim Lien pagoda, came  to the lecture hall and shared Buddha's teachings on the subject of Buddha of Enlightenment. By simple language and parables, Venerable helped the mass to understand the ideal Buddhist through the life of the Buddha and his disciples. Since then, he advised Buddhists to study and practice Dharma. The Ven. also gave messages, should never forget the task of being a propagator to help people know the Dharma.

On January 17th, 2021 (lunar December 5, Year of Mouse), after meditation moments of walking and sitting, the mass recited the Compassionate water 's repentant dharma of sutra.

Beginning to chant the Compassionate water's repentant dharma of sutra and abandon eight precepts in the afternoon, the participants sat down to share together their experience.

At the end of the retreat, monks gave the Buddhists dharma gifts.
