The 6th retreat of “Study of the Buddha's Practice" at Dong Cao pagoda in Thanh Hoa.

On the morning of December 19th, 2018 (November 13th, the year of dog), Ven. Thich Tam Tuy stated the purpose, meaning and necessary rules of the retreat, helping the mass to practice the meditation lifestyle, cutting down on their daily relationships, and dedicate their study. After that, Ven. Thich Tam Hung - Chief of the Organizing Board - guided the masses Buddhist’s necessary postures, helping them could understand better the Buddhism 's rules and dignities. Next, the masses entered the time of Buddha recitation
In the afternoon of the same day, Ven. Thich Tam Hoa - Abbot of Hoa Phuc Pagoda - Tp. Hanoi City returned to visit and encouragement to practitioners attending the retreat and had a preaching time with the theme “Belief in the true dharma". Over an hour of sharing, Venerable taught how is righteousness belief on the true dharma and the method practice that belief.
In the morning of December 20, 2018 (November 14th, the year of dog), the masses participated in the conversation with theme named “Love of life” under explaining by the monks. The Dharma talk helps the public understand better about love and life.
On the morning of December 21st, 2018 (November 15th, the year of dog), Ven. Thich Tam Chanh - monks of Hoang Phap Pagoda Ho Chi Minh City - sent to the masses the lesson "abandon and sadness". Understanding the sadness that comes from many causes in life, we should deeply observe sadness and find solutions to overcome. With practical and humorous examples, Ven. sometimes gives the audience moments of calm reflection, sometimes few delight laughs with a fun atmosphere.
December 22, 2018 (November 16th, the year of dog), Ven. Thich Tam Hieu - Abbot of Can Mon pagoda in Nghe An - had a dharma speech of “Killing creatures and Vegetarian”. He talked to the harmful effects of killing and the benefits of vegetarianism. Accordingly, Ven. also encouraged all of Buddhists how to cherish their time of cultivating, practice vegetarianism and release creatures to feel happiness and peace when all of us exist in life and beautify our lives.
In the afternoon, the masses came to the second conversation of the retreat through the theme of “Feelings of energy at the retreat”. Under explaining by Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Ven. Thich Tam Tuy and Ven. Thich Tam Due, the mass shared the benefits of attending the retreat this time accompany with the initial difficulties when practicing walking meditation or certain limitations of themselves when cultivating practicing. With simple and practical solutions, monks helped Buddhists to solve their problems. At the same time, the Sangha also encouraged Buddhists to spend their time in the pagoda practicing and deriving their troubles, setting up a peaceful and relaxed life.
On the morning of December 23rd, 2018 (November 17th, the year of dog), Ven. Thich Phap Hoa - monks of Thien Lam pagoda, Thua Thien Hue - sent to participants a preaching speech “Dharma at Here". Ven. showed the benefits of mindfulness and the way to practice it. Thereby, Ven. also advised Buddhists who should let their mind practice mindfulness, to find peace in every moment of life.
In the afternoon of December 23rd, 2018 (November 17th, the year of dog), after the time of reciting the Buddha's name, Ven. Thich Tam Hung shared the difficulties and achievements of this retreat, and receiving comments from Buddhists to improve better the next retreats.
At the end of cultivating, the Organizing Board sent the mass about certificates and Dharma gifts adding of blessing words, promising to meet the mass again in the 7th retreat in March next year.
