The 7th Retreat "I have returned ..." at Dong Cao Pagoda, Thanh Hoa

To pay tribute to the Buddha Shakyamuni, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, Avalokiteshvara and Saint Ānanda for the love of beings has opened the path of awakening, as well as propagating the Dharma, in two days 20th - 21st of March, 2021 (Jan. 08th - 09th, Year of Buffalo), Dong Cao Pagoda (Nga Yen, Nga Son, Thanh Hoa) organized the 7th Retreat "I have returned" for nearly 100 Buddhists at the local to attend.

Beginning the retreat in the morning, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hung, Abbot of Dong Cao pagoda, chief of the Organizers instructed the mass to homage to the Three Jewel, chanted the sutra Turning Dharma Wheel (Dhamma - cakka - pavattana) and transferred Eight precepts for the mass.

On occasion of the leaving - home celebration of Bodhisattva Siddhartha, the mass invited the Abbot to share the Buddha's teachings on the subject named Four Things The Buddha Could Not Support. Over an hour with brief words, everyday life stories, Junior Ven. pointed out four things Buddha can not support for sentient beings: Cause and Effect, Wisdom, Dharma and people have no conditions. The monk also explained clearly to change these four things, each person should do blessings and merit as well as cultivate listening, thought, practice in order to be able to reach Truthfulness-Goodness-Beauty, liberate Samsara, and build a Pure Land for human beings.

On this cultivation day, the mass recited the sutta Sigalovada, the Compassionate Water's repentance Dharma, worshiped Buddha, sat meditation and walked in reciting the Buddha’s names.

At the end of the retreat, monks gave the Buddhists dharma gifts.
