The Buddha's Great Birthday Ceremony at Cambodia Hoang Phap Pagoda

In response to the atmosphere of celebrating Buddha's birthday taking place from urban to rural areas, from plains to mountainous areas to remote islands, hundreds of Buddhists gathered at Cambodia ‘s Hoang Phap Temple (Kandal province, Cambodia) attended the Buddha's Birthday celebration on the morning of May 8th, 2022 (April 8th, LC).

This occasion, Junior Thich Tam Truc, Abbot of Hoang Phap Pagoda Cambodia, Head of organizers had some dharma words to share with the listeners about Buddha's life. Venerable pointed out valuable lessons from the life of Him from birth to enlightenment and then nirvana. All of those are living teachings, a shining example for Buddhists to look at, and a beacon of direction for all practitioners to study Buddhism, the path to enlightenment, liberation to release from the world of suffering. He is the greatest teacher of all time, a noble teacher among heaven and earth. Therefore, celebrating Buddha's birthday is an action that brings many blessings, an opportunity to honor the noble values that Buddhism brings to life. As a disciple of Buddha, we need to cherish the moments when we can rely on the Three Jewels to practice and progress. As a result, we can quickly achieve our ideal of liberation and help everyone to be peaceful and happy.

After that, monks and Buddhists performed the ceremony of Buddha Birthday.

At the end, the mass made a ritual of bathing Buddha and releasing balloons to pray for peace and happiness among living beings.
