The Buddhist Rite chanting Ksihitigarbha and the lighting night of candles and lanterns at Hoa Phuc Pagoda – Hanoi

Harmony with on the atmosphere of welcoming the Ullambana Ceremony, from August 17th to 18th, 2019 (lunar July 17th – 18th, the year of Pig), Hoa Phuc Pagoda (Hoa Thach – Quoc Oai – Ha Noi) solemnly celebrated the Ceremony of chanting Ksihitigarbha, the Ritual of Praying for Rebirth of Ancestor, the Lantern-Flower Night of Praying longevity for attending of thousands Buddhists.
The rite of chanting Ksihitigarbha at Hoa Phuc Pagoda officially opened in the solemn atmosphere at the monastery with the witness of the Monks and the presence of thousands Buddhists on August 17th, 2019. In the afternoon, Buddhists participated in offering to pray rebirth to ancestors and ten specie of sentient beings
The Rite is organized with three meanings: praying rebirth to ancestors, peacefulness praying for parents and families, as well as the cultivating mind expressing of cultural, spiritual and human beauty. The evening recited Ksihitigarbha Sutra, praying for the ancestor getting salvation and the human having prosperity.
On the morning of August 18th, thousands of Buddhists chanted Ullambana sutra and attended the gratitude ceremony for parents and ancestors, including rituals of offering rice to ancestors and writing praying words. In the afternoon, Junior Ven. Thich Tam Hoa, Abbot of Hoa Phuc pagoda had a dharma talk to the Buddhists. The Monk talked to all attendees, helping them to boldly speak about their spiritual feelings about the family.
The lighting night of candles and lanterns took place on the evening of August 18th. Thousands of flower candles were lit, passed from the Master to the mass and the all. Warming candles, participants hope to wish longevity for present parents, and pray for ancestors to be born in the good realm.
The ceremony ended full of the loving feelings of the Buddha disciples on the Ullambana season.
